Research Task Lecture 3 Exercise

Fiona Hall’s: Leaf Litter

This piece saw Fiona traveling to different parts of the world collecting different species of leafs from tree and plants to be featured with the currency of the particular country, the materials which are used to create this particular piece is money from the country where she stayed at and a natural species of the leaf from a tree or a plant. The dominate meaning behind the piece of art work is that money does not grow on trees and how the world has been taxing the environment and now we are paying a heavy price for the things we have done to our environment. With the use of only two different materials it has such a powerful meaning.
